I would like to thank the owner of Caiman Ecological Refuge, Roberto Klabin, for allowing members of the Jaguar habituation team the opportunity to fly over the ranch. Each day we go out into this gorgeous landscape in search of Jaguars. It is our goal to find and habituate these secretive cats. It was truly magical to be allowed the chance to see, from above, the land where we drive and walk. To get a birds eye view of the roads, the paths, the trees and the areas we know so well. We were able to fit some of the pieces together and identified areas that we now we now wish to explore.
Whilst up in the air I took a couple of pictures. I hope you enjoy a taster of the Pantanal from above…Written and photographed by Adam Bannister
